How does the heating film work?

When the heating is turned on, current flows through the heating element located inside the foil.

The heating element warms the large surface area of the foil laid under the floor.

Selection of the system should take into account, among other things, the room area, building insulation, type of flooring, and heat demand.

Choose the appropriate film

How to properly select heating film?

Select the heating film according to heated surface areaplan coverage of a minimum area of the floor, not the entire room. Plan coverage of 70% of the heated areataking into account the interior layout and permanent fixtures.

Plan the arrangement of the foil:

maintain minimum 10 cm spacing from walls and permanent fixtures
leave 1–3 cm gap between adjacent heating foil strips
skip spaces under furniture without legs and fixed installation elements
maintain minimum 15 cm spacing from water pipes, fireplaces, and gas stoves
Do not overlap the heating tapes and do not fold them
Trim the film exclusively in the places marked by the manufacturer.

Remember! The heating film can only be trimmed in places marked by the manufacturer. Choose the length and width of the strips already at the planning stage of the installation.

HEATING FILM INSULATION

Proper underlayment is the foundation

Insulation and stability under the heated floor

Base TERMOFOL SUPERTERM with a thickness of 6 mm limits heat loss to the substrate and provides stable support for the underfloor heating system. High compressive strength (400 kPa) and insulating properties make it suitable as a layer under heating film TERMOFOL.

The controller regulates the temperature and operation of the heating in a given room. Depending on the selected model, it is possible, among other things, to program schedules and remote control.

Heating films are designed for heating residential spaces such as living rooms, bedrooms, rooms, or offices. They can be used as underfloor heating beneath floating floors, and also – with the appropriate mounting system – as wall or ceiling heating.
